what a freaking amazing day!!!! the day started off like most. a relaxing time at home. getting ready to head off to the post office, the store {to get my mom some flowers}, then hit to road to temecula. well... lately, as most of you know, i have been opening myself up to the universe, the divine, and my spirit guides. well, yesterday they were yelling at me all day! lol! it began with an urgency to take my time. i wanted to get to my mom's fairly early, but something was making me want to stay behind. i also finished up some laundry that i didn't put away {lack of time}. but as i was about to leave, i looked at my precariously placed laundry and thought, "i better move that. i don't want to come home to laundry that was clean but now isn't cause it fell on the floor!" so i shifted it. and got in the car. now, i don't think i mentioned this before, but my car took a dive when i drove out to my mom's on friday. i'm passed the emotional end of it all. i just want to get it fixed and move on with it! lol! my alignment is messed up. so when i came back from my mom's i took her car, because i knew i'd have to come back to her house for the ringo concert. {the less i drive my car the better!} so my mom has a hybrid car. some of you may know, that they usually start off on the electric engine, then move to the gas one. when it moves on to gas the car will jolt a bit. so the car did that... but it didn't stop! i sat there and was like uh-oh! her car is dying! i thought it was in it's last death throws! {it's a really new car thought! but i just figured with my luck...} and then i looked up to see all the wires above my house dancing too. then i directed my gaze to my rv to notice it swaying from side to side!! then i went, "oooohhh! it's an earthquake!" lol! this was a fun one! anyone who has been in one or is from ca would know.. you have rollers and shakers. this was a roller! one of my favorites! it's way less scary. and as i've now found out, it's way less scary in a car! lol! shocks rule! i waited for it to stop then i got out. my neighbor's daughter came running out of her garage with her hand on her heart. i was like are you ok?! and she said that it just freaked her out cause all the crap in the garage shook. then i went into the house to check on my dogs. everyone was fine. vito was scared though. but if i talk loud he gets scared! lol! i walked around the house to see that i had some pix that were slanted, my crystal ball {the big one!} fell of it's stand and rolled around in my thing i had it in. {thank the goddess it didn't fall and break or hid a dog!} some stuff in my cupboards did fall. oh and most of the cupboards in my kitchen where open! one of my halloween bottles fell over. but didn't break. the only casualty is my cauldron mug i got last year. i had it in my dish dryer and it fell over. they handle broke. but i can still use it. maybe as a pot or something. hope target has it again this year. :) then, like any other native californian, i went along with my day. :) i went to the post office and then the store. omg! the store was messed up! i guess a bunch of bottles fell over. they warned me when i came in to watch out for broken glass. i then found out that it was a 5.8 earthquake. which was centered in chino hills.. now 5.8 isn't small.. but the biggest one i've been around for {i think} was a 6.7. however, that one was farther away from me. this one was literally 15 minutes from me! so we got hit pretty hard. crazy huh?!? it was felt all the way down to the mexican boarder and all the way over to las vegas! so that was a rockin way to get the day goin! lol! and i realized, that if i had left earlier, i would have been at my mom, or on the freeway when the quake hit. i would've been worried sick about my dogs! and my laundry soooo would've fallen! lol! so sometimes it's good to listen to yourself!
next i got to my mom's and we went to her local witch shop. he he he, here's the thing. she is not a witch. she doesn't believe in what i do.. however, she is big on buddhism and seems to really like the idea of stones and their meaning. and she was the one who got me into astrology when i was young. :D when i got to her house i gave her a card that told her she got to have a choose your own adventure b-day. she got to *shop* for her gift. so her choice... go to the witch store! lol! she ended up finding a celtic birth sign necklace. it is a sword that is for lughnassa. and i found a cool banner that has this saying on it: "success is not the key to happiness, happiness is the key to success. if you love what you are doing, you will be successful." i think that's something i need to wake up to everyday. ;) we then went to bob's big boy for linner. {it was to late to be lunch, but to early to be dinner} i didn't eat much. they don't have a lot for us veggies. oh well. then off we went to see ringo!! :D
k. he is just amazing! it was such a fun concert! he is so comfy in front of people. he kept talking to people in the audience. at one point he was talking about his new song *liverpool 8* and a dude stood up and screamed. then ringo goes "are you from liverpool too??" then the dude screams and ringo goes "let me hear you speak" and the guy goes "YYYAAAAA!!!!" then ringo says "well we all can go YYYAAAAAA!!" lol!!! he did stuff like that all night! so funny! and in ringo's liverpool 8 song i have now found another fav quote for me. he says "i always followed my heart, and i never missed a beat." :D isn't that great!!! that is tattoo material if you ask me! lol! what's with me and hearts?!? so the seats were out of this world! we saw him at the pala casino. they had a stage that was reminiscent of my hard rock days. it was a portable stage. and all the chairs where folding out door chairs!! we were at the end of the first section. we had a great view! it had the ambiance of a wedding more so then a concert! lol! but it was awesome! nothing better then a concert outside. :D so his allstarr band included: Colin Hay, Billy Squier, Hamish Stuart, Edgar Winter, and first timer Gary Wright and on drums, Gregg Bissonette. so i heard, dream weaver, frankenstein, land down under {a personal fav.}, and a few others that i can't remember right now! lol! but the best was billy squier and stroke! i love that song! lol! and it was so funny cause all these men are rockers, but from a different time then billy.. well, a different style really. he was wearing jeans and a tee, where as most of them where in suit type things. lol! and he was just ooosing with sex appeal! it was pretty funny! and gary wright was a crack up! every time he wasn't singing he would look around with a dopey grin on his face. with his bleached white teeth glistening in the moon light. lol! i couldn't keep a straight face! so it was a memorable night to say the least! ringo is the man! very entertaining! i would love to see him again! and he played yellow submarine as his encore... which was sooo funny too. he said, "now is the time that the band and i would go hide in a little black corner and wait for you all to scream for us to come back. but it's just silly, we know we are coming back.. you know we are coming back.. but it's rock 'n' roll tradition. well.. we aren't gonna do it. but you all can cheer for us!" lol! it was great! and he ended with john lennon's *give peace a chance*. so wonderful! i just loved it!
and then, to cap off my night of rockin and rollin i had to drive my alignmently challenged car home! i was shaking so bad i had to turn off my cd cause it kept skipping! my arms felt like they were on fire! and my back itched from the gyration. lol! so i had one heck of a rockin day!! :D hope you all have an amzing day too! (((hugs)))~ alysia

I love Dream Weaver! It reminds me of middle school dances. I remember seeing Billy Squier perform The Stroke on tv ... he was "doing it" with his microphone stand. We were scandalized!
Pixie StyxGlad you had a good time at the concert. Alas, my two favorite Beatles are no longer with us. :(
